Emily Ratajkowski opens up about motherhood plans after kissing Harry Styles in Tokyo | Ents & Arts News

Emily Ratajkowski says she is planning to freeze her eggs and have a second child when she is in her late 30s.

The Gone Girl star already has a son, Sylvester, two, with ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.

Speaking in a subscription-only question and answer with her fans, Ratajkowski said: “I think I definitely would like to have more children – I really love being a mum. I’m not sure I’m going to find somebody that I want to raise a child with.”

There’s been a recent interest in Ratajkowski’s love life, after the 31-year-old was pictured kissing British pop star Harry Styles, 29, in Tokyo at the weekend.

In the question and answer, Ratajkowski went on to explain: “I personally wouldn’t be afraid of getting pregnant and giving birth as a single woman.

“That doesn’t mean I’m saying that’s the best way to do it or the only way to do it but I very much see that for my future – deciding to do IVF in my late-30s to give Sly a sibling.”

She said many of her friends had had IVF, and that her own gynaecologist had suggested freezing her eggs in a couple of years.

She added: “I think marriage is really hard, partnership is really hard and when you bring kids into the mix it’s 1,000 times more difficult, so in some ways it [being a single mum] can streamline it a bit.”

Ratajkowski split from her film producer husband of four years last July, and filed for divorce two months later.

Meanwhile Styles split from his partner of nearly two years, film director and actress Olivia Wilde, with the couple blaming “different priorities” for the breakup.

The Grammy-winning artist is currently performing in Japan as part of his worldwide Love On Tour shows.

Ratajkowski rose to fame starring in the music video for 2013 chart-topper Blurred Lines and went on to have roles in films including Gone Girl, We Are Your Friends and I Feel Pretty.

In 2021, she released the memoir My Body, a collection of essays about her life as a model, earning money from her looks, and abuse of power.
