Earlier this week, Warner Bros announced Henry Cavill’s replacement as Superman, David Corenswet.
For months the 29-year-old star of 2025’s Superman: Legacy was the bookies’ favourite to be the next Man of Steel.
Of course, odds should be taken with a pinch of salt but this is proof that they do sometimes turn out to be right.
Speaking of which, the latest next James Bond odds from Ladbrokes have the five most likely stars to replace Daniel Craig as 007.
The list includes a former auditionee for Casino Royale and one actor rumoured to have had one this time around.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “All eyes are on 007 chiefs with fans and punters alike desperate to know who they’re lining up to replace Daniel Craig.
“As things stand it’s Aaron Taylor-Johnson who leads the way, with no less than four other names priced 5/1 or shorter for the gig.”
The Kraven the Hunter star is rumoured to have impressed Barbara Broccoli at a secret audition, although nothing is officially confirmed.
Taylor-Johnson leads the next Bond odds on 7/4 followed by Casino Royale auditions runner-up Cavill on 3/1.
Behind them is James Norton on 4/1, followed by Paapa Essiedu and Tom Hardy on 5/1.
An announcement could be weeks away or it may be as far away as another year, but whatever the case, Craig will be a tough act to follow especially after killing off his 007.
