Beatrice wore cute accessory with playful message to husband Edoardo

Princess Beatrice is known for her stunning headpieces – she is rarely spotted at a royal occasion without an exquisite headband, hatband or fascinator.

And her appearance at the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was no different, with the royal sporting a gorgeous fascinator in deep cornflower blue.

However, it was Beatrice’s clutch bag that stole the show, as it contained a fun and flirty message that could have been a nod to her husband Edoardo, who she married on July 17, 2020.

Beatrice’s clutch was the Cleo Wifey For Lifey bag by the high-end designer Sophia Webster.

It was predominantly ivory with a blue border – the same colour as Beatrice’s dress – and boasted grey writing.

For those who want to recreate the Princess’ look, it is currently retailed online for £450.

The official website reads: “Our most loved minaudiere is back! Revamped with pearl perspex outer, sparkling blue glitter details, and our signature ‘Wifey for Lifey’ slogan.

“This must-have accessory is finished with a detachable top handle, cross-body chain, and gem push-lock closure.”

Sophie Webster also has Wifey For Lifey Shoes, priced at £370 down from £525.

These are ivory with Wifey For Lifey written across the front in blue, however Beatrice did not wear these. Instead, the Princess wore a pair of pointed-toe ivory stilettos.

Sophie Webster has a whole host of Cleo handbags featuring iconic phrases such as Social Butterfly, Bo$$ Lady Party Bag and To have and to hold.

For the Jubilee celebration, Beatrice wore the Beulah London ‘Ahaha Chambre’ dress.

This is currently retailed online at £795 and is available in chambre blue, black, cream, green, burgundy and navy.

The official website reads: “Our bestselling Ahana Dress has been crafted in a beautiful chambre blue, with a longer sleeve length appropriate for the colder months.

“An elegant choice for any season and produced in a RWS certified 100 percent wool crepe with a fit and flare silhouette.”

“The short stand neckline has been updated and the elegant sweeping skirt is belted at the waist for a figure-defining fit. We love the charming button front detail.”

Beatrice’s choice of bag was pretty divisive – some absolutely loved it but others thought it was inappropriate for the occasion.

@SpecOlympicsMom said: “She looked so beautiful and I think the handbag is so cute and sassy. Go Bea!!!”

@MPpauta added: “Hey if Edo gave me that bag, It would be with me at all times, special occasions, eating, sleeping yup you get the point LOL. Good for her. Beauty and she looks so happy.”

But @Smith678Duchess commented: “I really don’t like it for this occasion. She looks amazing but the bag is inappropriate in my opinion. I don’t think slogans really are the right look for a celebration of HM’s 70 years of service.”

@TotesKJ agreed: “The bag is cute, although not right for the occasion, likely it got picked because it matches her adorable outfit and she was hoping it could be turned to no one would notice.”
