Beyoncé leaves fans confused with baffling Renaissance footage | Music | Entertainment

Beyoncé has just embarked on her massive Renaissance tour, which will see her take on stages around the world and performing songs that were released in her most recent record, Renaissance, and her 2019 venture Lemonade.

This will be the first time Beyoncé has been in the UK and Europe since 2018.

Not only is she playing her incredible music throughout an hours-long show, but the first photos from the show reveal an incredible production value, including a large glittery horse suspended in mid-air, teams of dancers, robotic arms, metal antlers, and all kinds of outfit changes.

Her first show on the tour kicked off on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

To commemorate the beginning of this tour, Beyoncé posted some footage of the highly-secretive tour on her Instagram account – but fans have been left confused by its content.

Beyoncé posted a seconds-long clip of her on stage performing with a slew of back-up dancers, pyrotechnics and explosions.

The 41-year-old captioned the video: “Welcome to the RENAISSANCE.”

However, fans noticed the video clip did not have any audio, and instantly began panicking that something had gone wrong with their phones.

One commented: “Oh so it’s muted…” (sic)

Another revealed: “Not me hard resetting my iPhone trying to get sound working.” (sic)

“Oh I thought it was me. I’m like I can’t hear nothing lol.” (sic) one contributed.

With a fourth confirming: “Damn we don’t even get an audio.” (sic)

Beyoncé’s actions are not a surprise, as her shows are shrouded in secrecy so not to spoil people who have spent hundreds on tickets for her tour.

There has also been a lot of speculation about which songs the American star would play, with many songs having never been played live before.

The enormous 36-song setlist was broken up into sections and included some deep cuts from her newer albums, as well as some throwbacks.
