Next James Bond odds – Shogun star Cosmo Jarvis ‘firm frontrunner for new 007’ | Films | Entertainment

Speculation remains rife over who will be cast as the next James Bond.

And one name fans are bringing up on social media having watched him in Disney+’s Shogun is Cosmo Jarvis.

The 34-year-old Blackthorne star is the right age, has the looks and has proved in the historical epic miniseries that he can handle the action and wit needed to play 007.

Not only all this, but the rising star also looks like a young Tom Hardy, who is also in the bookies’ next Bond race.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Plenty reckon Cosmo Jarvis could be a perfect fit for 007 and out traders have immediately installed him as a firm frontrunner to replace Daniel Craig as a result.”

The Shogun star has odds of 10-1 to be cast as the next Bond and (take it all with a pinch of salt but) here are the other 10 most likely names.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson continues to be the bookies favourite on 15-8, followed by Casino Royale auditions runner-up Henry Cavill on 7-2.

Other contenders are the following: Damson Idris 9-2, James Norton 5-1, Regé-Jean Page 6-1, Sope Dirisu 8-1, Tom Hardy 9-1, Callum Turner 10-1, Cillian Murphy 10-1 and Cosmo Jarvis 10-1.

If you want to check him out in action, Shogun is streaming now on Disney+.
