PIP: Thousands of people may get up to £627 per month for 24 respiratory conditions | Personal Finance | Finance

Individuals can get PIP if all of the following apply:

  • A person is 16 or over
  • They have a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability
  • They have difficulty doing certain tasks or getting around
  • They expect the difficulties to last for at least 12 months from when they started.

For those who have not received PIP before, they must be under state pension age.

Once eligibility is checked, a claim can be set into motion by calling the PIP new claims line on 0800 917 2222.

People will then be sent a form they need to complete and return based on their condition.

When claiming, people will need to provide important information such as contact details, date of birth, National Insurance number and bank account number and sort code.
