Princess Kate is enchanting in emerald during Leeds visit | Royal | News

Princess Kate looked fabulous in emerald today during a visit to AW Hainsworth, a family-owned heritage textile mill which manufactures British woollen cloth, high-performing technical textiles and fabrics. However, she experienced a slight wardrobe mishap when her trousers appeared to briefly get caught in her shoes.

In 1958, the Princess’ great-great grandfather sold William Lupton & Co to AW Hainsworth. For the occasion, Kate wore an emerald green suit by Burberry with a white blouse.

Lately, the royal has been wearing a lot of suits, and according to fashion expert Miranda Holder, the reason why is more symbol than style.

Princess Kate’s new suit collection might speak to her changing role in the Royal Family. Miranda told Express.co.uk: “It was announced earlier this year that the Palace would no longer release details of what and who Kate is wearing.

“Most probably in an attempt to focus the world’s media on the important work the royals conduct rather than their fashion choices, but despite this recent lack of information, Kate is still hailed as a fashion icon globally, with the ‘Kate effect’ bringing good fortune to the brands she champions.
