Priscilla Presley was ‘very concerned’ about biopic but has totally changed her opinion | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Based on her 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, Priscilla stars Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny as the central couple.

Priscilla first met Elvis Presley when she was 14 and Elvis was 24, and the film touches on the significant age difference and power imbalance in their relationship.

“I love her filmmaking,” Priscilla said of Sofia. “I think she does a great job.

“She is for women, and when she approached me about doing a movie about me, I was moved by it.

“If anyone were to do a movie, it would be for her. I would never support another movie from anyone else doing it.”

Priscilla said they bonded over their connections to showbiz, with Sofia being the daughter of The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola.

“She has such a big heart and her father is very famous and she really connected with me,” she said. “I have no problems with what she did in any way.”

Sofia “was so wanting it to be right”, Priscilla added, which convinced her the story would be told properly.
