Edward Furlong appeared unrecognisable in a rare appearance years after Terminator 2.

The former teen star famously played John Connor in James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day alongside Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1991.

He then starred in a sequel, the short film T2-3D: Battle Across Time.

But now, after a troubled adulthood, the award-winning actor looked different as he stepped out ahead of his 46th birthday.

Furlong, of Glendale, California, was snapped running errands in a dressed-down get-up, sporting a pair of blue jeans and a Led Zeppelin design T-shirt.

He finished off his informal attire with a pair of white Nike sneakers and Hollywood sunglasses.

Edward’s casual outing comes after turning his life around following a battle with drink and drug addiction.

In a previous interview, Furlong admitted having a “second chance” in life.

“It feels great to be back on set and sober too,” he told the Daily Mail.

He added: “I didn’t feel hungover when I went to work.

“There’s other sober people at work which is weird because if you’re not sober, you’re not hanging out with the other sober people. It was cool.”

Edward endured gruelling dental work after his teeth “rotted” as a result of meth usage.

At the time, he explained: “It sounds weird for me to be talking about teeth because I don’t live and breathe the way I look.

“But every time I looked in the mirror, it just bummed me out as a reminder of what I had done for all those years.”
