Zara Tindall’s ‘passionate’ tendencies were ‘learnt’ from her mother, according to claims

Princess Anne is one of the most active members of the Royal Family having dedicated her life to duties called upon by her mother, Queen Elizabeth II and now her brother, King Charles.

Her children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall did not follow in her footsteps, however, and instead remain as non-working royal relatives.

While this lends itself to more freedom in their career choices and private relationships, 42-year-old Zara bucked the trend and became one of the most outwardly affectionate royals in the public eye.

Her relationship with her rugby-star husband Mike Tindall may seem a far cry from her mother’s low-key marriage to Sir Timothy Laurence, but a body language expert claimed that the mother-daughter duo are more similar than they may appear.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Judi James analysed Zara’s “learnt” behaviours from Princess Anne that translated from the senior royal’s younger years.

Judi said: “Zara and Mike are the perfect body language storm.

“Both come from a sports background, creating confidence and lack of inhibitions and both are happy to be lovingly demonstrative in terms of their obvious affection and passion for each other, with little worry about protocol and the classic stiff upper lip.

“We know the couple are totally in love because they still can’t keep their hands off each other and as well as hugging, kissing and using prolonged eye-gaze in public they also exhibit signals of having constant, playful fun together.”

While Zara and Princess Royal may share many passions – including their love of horses, family values, and competitive streak, their behaviour within their relationships bares few similarities.

The mannerisms professional went as far as to claim that Anne is in fact “right down the other end of the PDA scale”, compared to her daughter.

Judi noted that the 72-year-old is “stoic” and “emotionally reserved”, perhaps due to her senior status in the Royal Family, while Zara is more relaxed and tactile.

Of course, there is a clear difference in the generational habits adopted by Anne and her daughter, but the body language expert suggested that Zara channels her mother’s youthful character when it comes to romance.

Judi said: “Surprisingly I would suggest Zara learnt to be openly affectionate from Anne, but from the Anne who possibly emerges in private and away from the public glare.

‌”There were clues of this “other Anne” when she was younger. Her body language in her teens and twenties could be haughty and even dismissive but there was always an underlying flirtiness and sexuality there, too.

“When Anne is with her daughter she does seem to let her guard down a little in terms of being playful and more fun.

“So it could be that the public display of affection we see from Zara and the signals of passion between Zara and Mike is how Anne might have looked and behaved had she not been brought up as a top-tier working royal.”
